Mens cravats have a long and illustrious history, and while designs may have changed since Victorian times, there's something about a day cravat that just adds a bit extra to a suit or smart outfit.

Sometimes called an ascot or cravat tie, most mens cravats are tied loosely around the neck and tucked into your shirt with just the top or first two buttons undone. In some cases of silk cravats they may be longer to account for a tie-like knot to keep the shape.

A cravat tie can be made from silk, polyester or cotton, or a combination of these, and come in a fantastic array of designs and colours. Cotton cravats are increasingly popular due to the wide variety of designs, while paisley cravats have always had a strong following. Ultimately the choice comes down to your personal preference and what pattern or features you're most interested in.
